Content

The aim of the unit is to train the participants on how to build up their job profiles based on personal realistic inventory of assets and improvement areas.

Objectives

Attendants will be able to:

  • Train themselves to improve their job profile
  • Know how to present their challenging points and assets, how to transform disabilities into abilities.
  • How and when to tackle the disability point

Time

75 minutes

Advice for the organiser

The attendants should focus to train their skills in connection to the job offer

Learning methodologies

Simulations, short introduction, hands-on activities

Resources available/ needed

  • Smartphones, tablets or laptops for participants.
  • Good quality WiFi network with a reliable Internet connection.
  • Chairs with desk attached or U-shaped table with chairs for all the participants

Learning outcomes

At the end of the workshop session the participant shall:

Knowledge

  • Know how to explain their disability;
  • Know how to «sell» themselves/ how to make their job profile attractive;
  • Learn and express in an effective way on how they can contribute to the company;

Skills

  • The ability to prepare their own presentations for the job interview;
  • Be aware of body language, dress code and manners and being able to adapt it to various settings;

Competences

  • Being able to identify their own range of qualities connected to the requirements of a job profile
  • Being able to present their disability in an easy and understandable language
