The aim of the unit is to train the participants on basic use of an LCMS (Moodle), and introduction to VIPTechJob learning platform usage by a learning-by-doing process

Objectives

Attendants will be able to:

• Create an user account in an accessible online learning platform.
• Navigate the available courses on the platform and self-enrol in the chosen one.
• Navigate the course content and resources.

40 minutes

Advice for the organiser

The organiser should know in advance which type of devices are preferred by the participants and should be familiar with the basic operation of them.

• Try to focus on the functionality of the tool more than on technical aspects.
• Encourage the participants to help one another and share their findings.
• Do not take the participants’ knowledge about the use of their devices for granted. Double-check their development in the use of the tool.

Mini lectures, class discussions, hands-on activities, simulations.

 Needed

• Smartphones, tablets or laptops for all the participants.
• A good quality WiFi network with a reliable Internet connection.
• Chairs with desk attached or U-shaped table with chairs for all the participants.

At the end of the workshop session the participant shall:

• Be able to show how to create an account and navigate effectively on the platform
• Be able to help students enrol and manage the course content and resources

• Use of the Moodle platform and all the resources available

• Digital competences from using this online platform
  
• Be able to solve basic technology issue that may arise from the different operating systems
